This was such a wonderful drawing for me. It had just stopped snowing and was getting dark. I nearly decided it was too cold and late to get out my pens and colours and draw, but then walked into this laneway. The colours of the buildings and the beautiful flow of all the people walking through the narrow walkway just grabbed my imagination and so I perched on a little bit of concrete on the edge and drew. It was so worth it. I really love the way the people fade into tiny silhouettes in the distance, and it really is the epitome of the beautiful old town of Tallinn in the middle of winter.

I drew this piece with pen, ink, watercolour, gouache and coloured pencil. It is available here as an A4 fine art print - archival inks on beautiful thick cotton paper - printed in Melbourne, Australia.
