about me
There is so much wonder, joy and beauty in every corner and element of the world - I love to find it and share it.
I have spent my life finding magic, often in unexpected places. Someone said to me once, that I know how to make even a burning rubbish tip on a riverside look interesting and somehow beautiful.
When I pick up my pen or paint or bottle of ink or my ipad and start to add lines and colours and create something where there was nothing. I feel like I have come home. I feel so lucky to make a living from this thing I most love.
I am inspired by people and their stories and I love to travel. I have been lucky enough to live in Kenya, Mongolia, China, Nepal, Germany, Tasmania, Australia and have travelled through more than 40 countries.
I love a beautiful line, the shapes made by plants, the textures of a building. I love tea, coffee and atmospheric rooms. I love the wind and snow. A good weekend for me is hours spent on a windy mountain top with my camera or wandering through a new city with my sketchbook. Followed by a run across a hilltop and then time by a fire with a teapot, a favourite cup and some pen, ink and colour.
The contrast between the cosy and the wild makes me feel alive.
Finding beautiful shapes and colours and lines in everyday life makes my world wonderful, so does sharing this skill with clients – making their brand or business stand out in a way that they are proud of, and a way that reflects their story.
I am from the ironbark region of central Victoria, Australia, but currently live in Edinburgh. We moved to the UK at the beginning of 2020 and haven’t left! I work for people worldwide.
I’d love to make something for you.
